Well respected across Africa for long term political stability, Zambia’s peaceful democracy has provided a solid foundation for decades of steady growth. Copper remains the country’s major export although the private sector is becoming increasingly diversified. With only 15 million people, Zambia has vast areas of arable land, plentiful water and untouched wilderness encouraging both agriculture and tourism.

Africa’s largest producer of Copper and Cobalt – 9th globally

Vast mineral wealth including the largest emerald mine in the world

45% of the total fresh water resources in Southern Africa are found in Zambia

The third most urbanised country in sub-Saharan Africa

Highly connected bordering 8 countries – only surpassed by Russia, China, Brazil and DRC

Strong regional integration with favourable cross-border trade agreements as part of COMESA and SADC

‘The Africa List is clearly doing some great work and helping us to be more exposed and networked.’
